Send Email from Event Screen

I occasionally need to send a facility scheduling confirmation hours, days or weeks AFTER I have scheduled it - it would be nice if I could go to the Event screen and have a button to "send confirmation email" of this event to the leader of the organization that is listed.

I often forget to send the email when I am actually adding an event into scheduler...I click right through the NEXT and FINISH buttons and then kick myself because it is such a pain to look up the event again  - I have to go to reports -> Organization Reports -> Letters/Statements-> to send a new acknowledgment letter and then filter it to get the correct event. So many steps and so much time - there has to be a better way of doing this?!

And it would be even better if when I am able to send an acknowledgment to someone, I could easily add in a 2nd or 3rd email address to send to other members or leaders who are helping to organize the event.
