Facility Group and SubGroup Problem

I just came across a problem using Facility Groups.  We recently added a new facility and I needed this facility to be part of a facility group I had already created.

I added the additional SubGroup no problem, but doing this did not automatically update any events that were already scheduled using the Facility Group.

For instance: I have the individual classrooms 03-08 as  "RE Classroom Group".  I just needed to add room 02 to this group too.  But I already have events scheduled using RE classroom group.

When I add the additional room to the group, and then go to check any of the dates I have events scheduled using that group, it still shows the event only in classrooms 3-8 and classroom 2 is still listed as open. This is a problem!  

I guess the workaround is to use Processes to Change the facility to RE classroom Group again now that it is updated.  I have tried this, and it seems to work, but I have so many to update now! Ugh!! what a pain in the butt!

Good Morning Adrienne,

I have definitely seen this trip people up in the past too. While I don't have a complete solution for you it is possible to do the alter existing events in one fell swoop. On the Select Events to Alter screen you can choose the Facility of the "RE Classroom Group" as your condition including all calendars. On the next screen mark all events. Then on the Select information to Alter you choose Facility and choose the RE Classroom Group again. That will "change" the facility to the new iteration of the group updating all of the items at once.

I do second the notion of having a prompt and maybe even an automatic process to do this whenever a new facility is added to a group. Have a wonderful day.
