Duplicate Family ID When Adding Families

I am adding this for a client. Site 323411.  When adding a new family, you click the Avail? button to see the next available ID numbers. You select one, but then get a message that family is in use by family xxxxxx. This is a family that has been deleted, but kept in the background. It would be nice to be able to print a list of the ID's in the back ground, but better yet to have the option to not show those numbers in the Avail? list.

The same thing happens to us when there is a duplicate family in the Formation Office Program. It does help us catch the duplicates between programs. Sometimes happens when the family has been deleted in Church Office but is still in use in Formation Office or if it is a new family that was added in Formation Office but not in Church Office yet.

Is there a way to report on the IDs for families that have been deleted but kept in the background? That would be extremely helpful. We run into this issue often because in the past the staff didn't answer the question correctly to go ahead with the full delete.

Found today that we can use the Families>Processes>Remove Families to identify the 'hidden' families. It would be helpful to be able to print this information prior to performing the delete for research purposes. We did screen caps but had 191 families listed. The process worked well for freeing up the IDs though.

This was implemented in the Office 8.0E release. For details, check out the last Improved Feature in the release notes.
