Don't care for extra steps

The extra steps to add a phone number or email in Church or Faith Formation slow me down and seem redundant. We used to be able to do these steps without having to go to an additional screen to post the information.

It would be faster if we did not have to click in the space before typing.  The curser would be automatically placed in the phone number and email address fields so we could just begin typing.

On the other hand, instead of retyping emails and phone numbers on Member screens, now just clicking the proper box gets it done - I do appreciate that. I do agree on the cursor automatically showing up....

Agreed on all counts. Is there another way of information being dispersed to the appropriate screens?

I like the new process because I don't have to enter the number on the family screen then go and enter it on the member screen again. I do agree it would be nice if the cursor was already in the field so that we could just type.  (Same on the email screen)  I also wish there was a way to grab out those tables to clean up some of the duplicates.

I agree that the new interface is cumbersome. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and does address a specific need that a lot of our churches have expressed, but when I use it, I find it annoying. :)  In version 10 look for an option to have that feature on all the time, or to turn it off and instead have a "manage" button to display the dialog. I will also see if we can automatically put the cursor in the appropriate field. Thank you all so much for your candid input on this feature.
