Acknowledgement letter

The acknowledgement letter process that comes up after you schedule a simple event does not have any useful fields that can be added to the body before you send it out by email.  It currently only has organization fields that I feel are not as important as what people really need to know.  I want to see event fields added.  Then, I will be able to insert a field to pull event remarks that I entered during the process of scheduling the event.  I would also like to see capability to email more reports eg. acknowledgement letter directly from the program's reports.

I agree with this. I do not use the Acknowledgement letter process as it does not allow for enough detail to make it useful. I simply type up the details in the body of an email or make the notations on the Request Form, copy/scan it and give/send it to the person making the request.

Well they need to do something about it. This letter would be wonderful. I have hundreds of events that I schedule on a weekly basis and to do what you do for every one is not a efficient use of my time. That is what we are paying PDS for. Otherwise why have this option or any other option for that matter that does not meet the needs of your customers. Someone did not think the letter through before the added this option. I can't believe that it would be that hard to add the event options also. That should be a no brainer and take just a few minutes to correct.

Again, I agree with you. I have submitted two other requests (that have not been addressed), at least twice now, to alleviate the misuse of my time. One, is the way the tabs are labeled on the printing screen. Event should be Event Calendars, as it is everywhere else, and Other Event Info should be Event Name, as it is everywhere else. Every time someone else wants to run their own reports I am having to train or explain to them how they can get their reports to print what they want. Otherwise, they are lost or confused and frustrated. The other is how much easier it'd be to change the color of the banner on a monthly calendar, if we could do it in the Processes screen/option versus one event at a time. Currently, I have to either do a year at a time or delete the entire event and reschedule. On the first, I can't see how reprogramming the tabs couldn't be an easy fix.

I wish they would also change the time factor for extra "minutes" to a specific time. That way people don't have to try and figure out what time to open and close the rooms.

That's true. We need options that work for those who schedule and enter the information AND for those who utilize the information.

Maybe they should ask the users what we think we need to be accommodate the needs of our office!

Hi, Cindy. In offering some help to another person, I began wondering if you have taken a look at the acknowledgement letter to make it be what you need it to be. I still need to test mine when scheduling an event, but I was able to go to the original, make a copy, and then tweak it to my needs. Let me know. I'm leaving for the day now, but can get back with you next week if this is of interest to you. Have a wonderful weekend and God bless.
